The short film “Two People Exchanging Saliva,” in which the Albanian actress of Kosovar origin Luana Bajrami plays the main role, has won the Best Live Action Short Film award at the 98th edition of the Academy Awards, held last night in Los Angeles.Luana Bajrami, who plays the character Malaise, portrays a luxury shop assistant in a cinematic story that explores the clash of mentalities and social control. The film was created under the direction and co-writing of Natalie Musteata and Alexandre Singh.
The Albanian actress of Kosovar origin, Luana Bajrami, is already known for several cinematic successes and has directed a number of films produced by French productions. On the local scene she is best known for directing the film “Luaneshat e Kodrës,” which premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival.
