“Sekiraqa” Case – All Defendants Acquitted in the 2007 Explosion

The Basic Court in Pristina today issued an acquittal verdict for all defendants in the case of the explosion at the “Sekiraqa” bar, an incident that occurred on September 24, 2007, in which two people lost their lives.With the court’s decision, Bejtullah Mehmeti, Luan Qerkini, Bekim Suma, Fadil Sadiku, Arbresh Dalipi, Mehmet Mehmeti, and Afet Dalloshi were cleared of all charges.

The trial panel also decided that the costs of the criminal proceedings will be covered by the court.In this case, Bejtullah Mehmeti, Luan Qerkini, Bekim Suma, Fadil Sadiku, Arbresh Dalipi, and Mehmet Mehmeti were accused that on September 24, 2007, acting in co-perpetration with Besnik Hasani and Shpend Qerimi, and with the assistance of Afet Dalloshi, allegedly placed and detonated an explosive device at the “Sekiraqa” bar on Bill Clinton Boulevard in Pristina.

As a result of the explosion, N.M. and P.S. lost their lives, while several other people were injured, reports Betimi për Drejtësi.
