Rasim Binakaj, the 38-year-old who was killed by a firearm, is the uncle of Elijona Binakaj, a former finalist of Big Brother VIP Kosova season 4.
Their relationship was discovered through social media searches, where it was seen that in 2021 the late Rasim had shared information about the tragic accident in Croatia, in which Elijona’s mother and sister lost their lives.
Further searches showed that the deceased also had photos with the father of the former contestant.
The news was confirmed to Gazeta Insajderi by the Police spokesperson for the Gjakova region, Sheremet Elezaj, who also provided details about the murder that occurred on “Vëllezërit Frashëri” street in Gjakova.
