President Osmani: Eternal gratitude to the women and men of NATO who stood on the right side of history

President Vjosa Osmani paid homage at the memorial plaque and memorial to fallen NATO soldiers in “Mother Teresa” Square in Pristina.

“On the anniversary of the start of NATO’s intervention in Kosovo, we remember one of the most defining moments in our modern history. On March 24, 1999, faced with a human tragedy from Serbia’s genocidal action, the most powerful military alliance in the democratic world took decisive action to stop the cruelty of the criminal regime. This was an act that ended a dark era and opened the way to freedom and peace. “NATO air, just do it” remains a symbol of the call to action in defense of universal values, a call that was heard and translated into historic decision and responsibility. Eternal gratitude to the women and men of NATO, who stood on the right side of history,” she said.

Osmani added that this day reminds us that freedom and peace require constant commitment “and that, in decisive moments, action is what defines history.”
