“He didn’t bring a bride to his mother, but a white shroud,” Ilaz Brahimi’s uncle speaks about the case

Tragedy in Podujevë: Ilaz Brahimi’s uncle clarifies his relationship with Ardita Gashi

Selim Halimi, the uncle of Ilaz Brahimi, who was killed, spoke about the tragic incident that occurred in Majac, Podujevë, clarifying his nephew’s relationship with Ardita Gashi.

He denied speculation that Ilaz was married to someone else, emphasizing that they were only in the early stage of getting to know each other.

“Ilaz grew up before our eyes and in our presence. He had been working in Germany until recently. For every Bajram, Ilaz would come home and spend time with his mother, his sisters, his uncles, and the rest of the family. Ilaz, not just because he is my nephew, was religious and prayed five times a day, but fate did not allow him to leave an heir. In this case, the first time they went out to get to know each other they had coffee, the second time they went out and it ended tragically.

Ilaz was never engaged, he did not have a girlfriend because he was very open with us; we knew about every time he went out with a woman. He was looking for a woman to settle down and bring a bride home to his mother, but he did not bring a bride to his mother—he brought a white shroud. The first time he went out, he even visited me at my apartment and told me, ‘Uncle, I’ve been talking to a girl.’ I told him, ‘Alright nephew, time is passing.’ He went out and had coffee. In fact, he didn’t even receive a single kiss from her before he went to the other world. No memory at all. There, it ended; the woman couldn’t handle it and caused three deaths. All the words, thoughts, whatever they had that day, are gone into the ground. We don’t know them. This has deeply affected us,” Halimi said on “Kosova Today.”

It is recalled that Ardita Gashi took the lives of Ilaz Brahimi and her uncle’s wife, 73-year-old Miradije Gashi. The suspect herself also died as a result of self-inflicted injuries. /Paparaci
