Kurti allocates 500 thousand euros for the Kosovo national team, if it defeats Slovakia

Prime Minister Albin Kurti, at a Government meeting in November last year, approved a financial support package for the Kosovo National Team.

Kurti announced at that meeting that 500 thousand euros would be allocated to the Kosovo National Team if it manages to qualify against Slovakia, writes Insider.

 

“We have good news for our football team, for the boys, with whom we are proud in every match. For the historic success in this 2026 World Cup qualification campaign, the passage to the play-off phase, by government decision, today we will share 250 thousand euros in reward. We enter the next phase with full confidence. We are expressing our faith in them with our pledges to them: First: in case of victory over Slovakia, we pledge a reward worth 500 thousand euros; Second: in case of qualification for the World Cup, we pledge another 1 million euros in reward. Forward Kosovo. Always with you!”, Kurti had said.

Kurti had allocated 250 thousand euros for the historic achievement of qualifying for the play-offs.

Kosovo will face Slovakia in Bratislava, while in case of victory, the decisive match for qualification will take place in Pristina against the winner of the Turkey – Romania duel. /Insider.org/
