Grida Duma recently discussed the presence of escorts in Albania on “Top Story,” and the journalist was also asked about it.
“They have a name — they’re called escorts. The famous escorts are what we call VIP escorts. Maybe these VIP escorts differ in price, I don’t know. I actually watched the show, including the discussion about prices, work, and schedules. There are all kinds of ways to make that quick money and live the life you want; it depends on how you choose, how you decide to use your life and your body. I don’t have any judgment, to be honest. However, there are so many of them now, and there are so many incapable people around, not only in the media but everywhere. Still, everyone has their own path and their own risks. As long as they are given time and opportunities, why not?”
But what if you happen to sit at a table with a girl who has a salary under 1 million lek and yet lives a very luxurious lifestyle — what do you think?
“You understand how things happen, because we live here and we have a social circle where we get information from one another and everything else. You can’t have a salary under €1,000 and live a luxury life and go to Mykonos or anywhere else, because we know these are luxury things. I’m speaking based on the salaries we live with. If a student comes here and doesn’t at least have a home in Tirana, what will she pay first? Will she pay the rent, the bills, or live that expensive life and buy that Gucci bag that most of them have — which is ‘fake’?”
