Fled Justice, Ended Up in Prison – Two People Arrested in Drenas and Fushë Kosovë

The execution of arrest warrants issued by the courts continues to be part of the daily engagements of the Kosovo Police, often resulting in the arrest of individuals who try to evade justice, reports Gazeta Sinjali.

Thus, two people who had been avoiding serving their sentences have ended up in prison after the enforcement of arrest warrants by the Police.

As Sinjali has learned, the first case took place in Drenas, where around 15:30 a police unit encountered a minor (name known to Sinjali) who, after verification, was found to have an active arrest warrant issued by the Basic Court in Pristina – Drenas branch.

He was escorted by the Police and sent to the Juvenile Correctional Center in Lipjan, where he will serve a prison sentence lasting one year.

Meanwhile, another case was recorded in Fushë Kosovë, where around 15:00 Naim Telaku was arrested, who was also found to have an active arrest warrant.

According to the information, he was wanted by the Basic Court in Pristina for the criminal offense of “Threatening,” and after the arrest he was sent to the Gjilan prison to serve a sentence of 30 days.

Both individuals are suspected of having evaded justice until the moment of their arrest.
