Prime Minister Albin Kurti has stated that next week he will meet with the leader of PDK, Bedri Hamza, and the leader of LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, to discuss the election of the country’s president.
Kurti, while heading to a session of the Assembly, said that he is in contact with the leaders of both parties.
“There will be meetings next week,” Kurti said.
The Constitutional Court of Kosovo, in its latest ruling regarding the decree of President Vjosa Osmani, determined that the decree had no effect and granted an additional 34 days for the election of a new president.
This came after the Court found that between the date when the Assembly was constituted and March 4, there had been no opportunity to exhaust the 60-day deadline.
