A pedestrian aged around 81 was hit and killed by a car in Piranë, Prizren.
The case was confirmed to the Insajderi newspaper by the Police spokesperson for the Prizren region, Shaqir Bytyqi.
“According to initial information, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle while attempting to cross the road. As a result of serious bodily injuries, pedestrian DH, a male aged around 81, died at the scene, which was ascertained by the emergency medical team,” said Bytyqi.
“Police units immediately arrived at the scene and took the necessary investigative actions. The suspect was arrested and, by decision of the prosecutor, detained for further procedures,” he continues.
By order of the prosecutor, the victim’s body was sent for autopsy to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Pristina.
