Deputy from the ranks of the Guxo Party, Haxhi Avdyli, who aligned himself with President Vjosa Osmani, has categorically ruled out the possibility of returning to the Democratic League of Kosovo.
In a statement to Kanal 10, Avdyli said he has no plans to return to the LDK and that he will continue to remain part of the parliamentary group of the Vetëvendosje Movement, despite resigning from all positions within the Guxo Party.
His statement came just a few hours after the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, called for unity within the political spectrum a call that was interpreted as an invitation for President Vjosa Osmani and other former members who had left the LDK to return.
In a post on social media, Abdixhiku called for the unification of what he described as the “institutionalist camp,” emphasizing that supporters of the Republic and the Euro-Atlantic path share a common political home.
According to him, the time calls for a joint project that goes beyond the divisions and disagreements of the past.“Time demands unity of institutionalists, supporters of the Republic, and all travelers on the Euro-Atlantic path.”
