New Decision: Tinted Car Windows Now Allowed in Kosovo

As of April 1, 2026, all vehicles with tinted windows must legalize them through the A-TEST procedure in order to be compliant with documentation requirements.

According to the announcement, this process will be carried out at the Kosovo Vehicle Center (QAK), where verification will be done to ensure that the window tint complies with the permitted standards.
Authorities state that without completing the A-TEST, window films will be considered irregular, which may result in penalties for vehicle drivers.

Vehicle owners who have installed window tint are advised to report to QAK to undergo testing and avoid possible fines.
