The leader of the Social Democratic Initiative, Fatmir Limaj, has come out in support of Vedat Muriqi, who has been widely discussed on social media since last night after Kosovo lost the play-off final against Turkey.
Through a post on Facebook, Limaj said that “every house has its own trash,” adding that such people also labeled and insulted the KLA during the war.
“Vedat, don’t be upset. Every house has its own ‘trash.’ Such people almost have it in their nature to insult and label those who have served and continue to serve the homeland with their hearts. This is how they spread slander and labels even against the KLA during the war, and they continue to do so today.”
“When they slander, they start from themselves, because they don’t have the character to serve the homeland and to be proud with their hearts. They are simply voices that do not represent the values of this country,” Limaj said.
The leader of Nisma also encouraged Muriqi with these words:
“Gratitude to you and the team for the emotion and love you are passing on to our children for the jersey and the state. Keep your head high, we are proud of you.”
