Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, in a television interview on the state news channel, said that for “several days” the US has begun sending “different messages through different intermediaries.”
However, he emphasizes that the fact that these messages were transmitted “through friendly countries” and that Iran was responding by expressing “its positions and issuing warnings” does not constitute “either dialogue, nor negotiation, nor anything similar.”
Araghchi added that Iran’s policy at the moment is to continue with “defense” and that they “have no intention of negotiating for now,” the BBC reports.
He concludes by saying that “this is Israel’s war and the people of the region and the US are paying the price for it.”
