Iran has reacted to the 15-point plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, describing it as “excessive.”
Iranian officials emphasized that their country will decide for itself when and how the war will end, refusing to allow the United States to dictate the timing of a ceasefire, writes Sky News.
The cessation of aggression and targeted killings;
The establishment of concrete mechanisms guaranteeing that Iran will no longer be attacked;
Compensation for war damages and the payment of reparations;
The end of fighting on all fronts and for all groups involved in the region;
International recognition and guarantees for Iran’s authority over the Strait of Hormuz.
Meanwhile, Trump has stated that the United States is in negotiations with Iran for a ceasefire, claiming that they are communicating with “the right people” and that the Iranian side is interested in reaching an agreement.
