Former KLA soldier and one of the early activists of Vetëvendosje, Dardan Krasniqi, has strongly reacted against Shkëlzen Gashi and Rron Gjinovci, accusing them of what he described as anti-Albanian positions and actions against the KLA.
In his public reaction, Krasniqi claims that Gashi “praises Tito’s period” and, according to him, continuously spreads narratives against Albania, while for Gjinovci he says that he has promoted “falsehoods against the history, pain, and pride of the Albanian people.” He also raises doubts about their motives, mentioning the possibility that these positions could be driven by external interests or personal beliefs.
Krasniqi also criticizes the use of public funds, claiming that they are being used for narratives that, according to him, contradict the sacrifice of the victims of the war in Kosovo. At the end of his reaction, he describes the situation as “sadness and pain,” expressing concern about what he calls a contaminated political and social climate in the country.
