Arda Guler warns Kosovo: Our goal is the World Cup

Real Madrid star Arda Güler has sent a clear message ahead of the crucial clash against Kosovo, highlighting Turkey’s high ambitions to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

The Turkish midfielder has announced that his team’s sole focus is securing a ticket to the World Cup, underlining the importance of this competition for his country.

“Our only and main objective is to qualify for the World Cup. We hope to make our fans happy,” Güler declared.

He also recalled Turkey’s long absence from this major tournament, noting that he was not yet born when his national team last participated in 2002, a fact that adds even more motivation.

“I wasn’t even born when we last participated in the World Cup, but I know how important the World Cup is for our country,” he added.

After being eliminated from the European Championship, Güler emphasized that the entire team is focused on only one mission: returning Turkey to the biggest stage of world football.

“After we were eliminated from the European Championship, our motive was one and only: to qualify for the World Cup. It is our dream,” he concluded.

These statements come shortly before the decisive match with Kosovo, which is expected to be a fierce duel for a place in the 2026 World Cup.
