Increase in Child Benefits – Here’s When They Are Expected to Be Paid

Sources within the Ministry of Finance of Kosovo have told Gazeta Minuti that the execution of payments for child benefits with the new increased amounts is expected to take place during the next month, including the amount that corresponds to March.

According to these sources, the increase announced by Lëvizja Vetëvendosje will not apply equally to all categories of beneficiaries. Specifically, the benefit of 90 euros is not intended for all children under the age of 16, but only for those coming from families with three or more children.

Meanwhile, for families with one or two children, according to the current plan, the monthly benefits are expected to reach 60 euros for each child under 16, reflecting the increase promised for the month of March.

In this way, the new benefits scheme foresees a doubling of the existing child benefit amounts. This means that payments of 30 euros for children in families with one or two children will increase to 60 euros, while for families with three or more children, the amount of 45 euros will double to 90 euros for each child.

Sources also emphasize that there is a possibility that the remaining difference for the month of March could be executed earlier, even before the full payment for April is made, which would provide earlier financial relief for beneficiary families.

However, despite these developments, an official confirmation from the relevant institutions has not yet been made public. Citizens are still waiting for a formal announcement from the Ministry of Finance of Kosovo regarding the exact date of the execution of the payments and the final details of the implementation of this scheme.
