The well-known patriot Hektor Beqiri has reacted harshly to the statements and actions of Shkëlzen Gashi, describing them as unacceptable and harmful to the truth of the war in Kosovo, reports DrenicaOnline.
According to Beqiri, these actions are not simply mistakes, but constitute, as he says, a “serious insult” to the history and sacrifice of the people of Kosovo. He emphasizes that this is a dangerous attempt to soften crimes and to blur the reality of the war, which, according to him, is documented and undeniable.
“Massacres in Kosovo are not theories nor matters of interpretation. They are documented crimes and wounds that have still not healed,” Beqiri stated, adding that any attempt to relativize these events is unacceptable.
He also called for participation in the announced protest in front of the Assembly of Kosovo, describing it as a “moral duty” and as opposition to any attempt to distort historical truth.
Beqiri stressed that silence regarding these developments, according to him, amounts to complicity and betrayal of the memory of the war and the sacrifice of the martyrs.
In the end, he called for a clear stance and a strong reaction, emphasizing that, according to him, the truth about the war in Kosovo cannot be negotiated and should not be distorted under any circumstances.
