Dozens of citizens protested today at the entrance to Rugova, opposing the decision of the Minister of Environment, Fitore Pacolli, to stop construction activities in the national parks Bjeshkët e Nemuna National Park and Sharr National Park.
The protesters called for a review and more clarification, arguing that this decision directly affects development and investments in these areas.
Minister Pacolli stated that the new decision bans any construction activity without a permit inside the national parks, as well as the movement of vehicles transporting construction materials or heavy machinery without special authorization.
She emphasized that this is a necessary step to restore legality and protect protected areas, and that institutions will ensure the full implementation of the decision.
