A woman who claims she was poisoned and raped by Jeffrey Epstein has spoken publicly for the first time about the BBC Newsnight about her traumatic experience.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous and who the BBC will call ‘Nicky’, said she met Epstein when she was 19 and working as a model.
She said that after giving her a massage at his waterfront villa in Palm Beach, Florida, he gave her a glass of water and she lost consciousness for several hours, believing that during this time she was raped by Epstein.
‘Nicky’ said she felt encouraged to speak out by the stories of other survivors and is now asking the US Department of Justice to release all remaining documents on Epstein.
In a lengthy interview with BBC Newsnight, Nicky described Epstein’s abuse in detail.
As other victims have also confessed, her contact with Epstein began with a massage.
“I just thought, okay, maybe he’s a rich man with a fetish and what’s the point,” she said. “Whatever. He paid my rent.”
But a few weeks later, when Nicky returned to Epstein, the experience was different.
“I took some water and I have no memory of anything for at least 12 hours after that,” Nicky said.
She woke up feeling sick, tired, and heavy. When she went to the bathroom again, she saw signs that she had had sexual intercourse, although she could not remember any act.
“I’ve done various psychological therapies to remember, to have a picture of something, and it’s dark, I have no idea,” she said.
After the abuse, Nicky recalled thinking that her children would be better off without her. “I don’t know how I managed,” she said of surviving the traumatic experience.
