The Mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, announces that the Municipal Inspection and the Capital City Police are engaged with all capacities to combat illegal dumping of waste in public spaces.

He says punitive measures for violators include:

“fines, confiscation of vehicles used for illegal transportation and disposal of waste”.

Furthermore, Rama appeals to citizens:

“If you see citizens or businesses dumping construction materials, sanitary ware, furniture, tires, glass or any other bulky and construction waste in the Capital, please notify the Police or the Municipal Inspection at 038 220985.”
