Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has stated that the possibility of Poland leaving the European Union is now a real threat. According to him, the country’s president, Karol Nawrocki, along with the right-wing opposition, are fueling this agenda. In a post on “X,” Tusk said he would do everything possible to prevent this development, which he described as a “catastrophe.”
Tusk also accused Russia, the MAGA movement in the United States, and Hungary led by Viktor Orbán of being behind such a policy.
Tensions peaked after the president rejected legislation that would have enabled access to €43.7 billion in low-interest EU loans.
