The EU Office in Kosovo has said it is surprised by the reactions in Kosovo regarding the Law on Foreigners. It expressed satisfaction with what it called the constructive approach of Prime Minister Albin Kurti at Saturday’s meeting.
When asked by KOHA about the reactions of opposition parties, the EU in Kosovo said it was surprised and noted that Democratic Party of Kosovo has always been committed to Kosovo’s path toward the EU, as well as to the dialogue.
“Saturday was a good day. We are very pleased with the constructive approach shown by the Government of Kosovo and by Prime Minister Kurti, who clearly demonstrated his commitment to EU integration. As you know, the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia remains one of the key factors for both parties on their respective paths toward EU integration. We are somewhat surprised by the reactions you are referring to. PDK has always been committed to Kosovo’s path toward the EU and to the Dialogue, participating constructively in negotiations, as well as in the signing and ratification of agreements,” their response stated.
