Italian police have arrested a 25-year-old Albanian man on suspicion of drug trafficking.
The operation took place on a central street in the municipality of Ardea, where officers caught the young man selling a dose of cocaine to another person immediately after parking his vehicle.
The buyer was identified as a 58-year-old man from Rome, who had arrived in the area to make the purchase.
The Carabinieri intervened immediately, stopping both the seller and the buyer, while the drugs found were seized. The buyer was fined for personal use of narcotic substances.
During a further search of the suspect and his vehicle, additional doses of cocaine and cannabis were discovered, along with a precision scale believed to have been used for dividing the doses.
The young man was taken to the Carabinieri station in Anzio, where he was held pending a court hearing.
Subsequently, the judicial authorities, after confirming the arrest, also ordered his expulsion from Italy.
