Apparently, Iran has responded to threats from U.S. President Donald Trump that the country would face “hell” if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened by Monday.
In comments broadcast by Iranian state media, an Iranian spokesperson said: “Remember that if the aggression expands, the entire region will turn into hell for you.”
“The illusion of defeating the Islamic Republic of Iran has turned into a swamp in which you will sink,” the spokesperson’s statement added.
Trump’s List of Ultimatums to Iran
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that Iran is “running out of time” to reach an agreement.
“Do you remember when I gave Iran ten days to make a deal or to reopen the Strait of Hormuz? Time is running out – 48 hours before hell comes down on them,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
As for the downing of the American aircraft in Iran, Trump stated that it will not affect negotiations.
