A case that has sparked numerous reactions has unfolded in Peja, where a suspect for threats and illegal possession of weapons has been sent for treatment to the psychiatric ward.
The incident occurred on April 3, 2026, at around 18:00, in “Shkëlzen Hajradinaj” square in Peja. According to Sinjali, the suspect, Korab Bajgora, had published a video on the social network Facebook, where for several minutes he addressed the Haradinaj family with harsh, threatening, and offensive language.
Following the publication of the video, police units took action to locate and arrest him. Around 20:30, during a search of the suspect’s home, two illegal weapons, two magazines, and four rounds of 9×19 mm ammunition were found and seized.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the police station in Peja, where, by order of the on-duty prosecutor, an investigation was initiated for the criminal offenses of “Harassment” and “Unauthorized ownership, control, or possession of weapons.” A 48-hour detention measure was imposed on him.
However, according to Sinjali, upon the recommendation of a psychiatrist and by order of the on-duty prosecutor, the suspect was hospitalized in the psychiatric ward of the regional hospital in Peja.
He will remain under the supervision of police officers, while investigations into the case are ongoing.
