The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, told the media today that she will do everything to ensure that the country does not go to elections, as according to her, this is not the time for anger and that there is a lot of work to be done.
“The deadline given by the court is March 31st, I hope that we have a decision regarding President Osmani’s decree as soon as possible. Whenever it comes out, it is important that we see and understand it.”
“As president, I will do everything in my power to ensure that the country does not go to extraordinary elections, that we find a common path and have a close and consensus position regarding the election of the president,” she said.
“We have a lot of work to do, this is not the time to play political games or hold grudges against each other. I hope that on April 4 we will have an elected president with a full mandate and not an acting one, but of course I will address the circumstances and my responsibilities in accordance with the constitution.”
