“An apology would be the minimum responsibility you should take.”

This is how the actor from Malisheva, Liridon Berisha, reacted to the statement made by the well-known actor Sevdai Radogoshi.

Full post:

Your statement yesterday on the show, where you called the actors from Malisheva and Klina people who “have never set foot in a theater” and who get “amateur roles,” is not only inappropriate but also offensive.

Didn’t you feel sorry for those actors from Malisheva, some of whom have even been your friends, and for the young people who work with great dedication to bring to the stage the reality of our lives — the present and the past?

Didn’t you feel sorry for all those viewers from this area who for years bought your tapes and CDs, supporting you and contributing to your success and well-being?

Didn’t you feel sorry that you used a contemptuous tone toward the people of Malisheva, labeling them as “villagers,” when it is well known that many of them live and work in major cities such as New York, Berlin, Vienna, and Zurich, representing our country with dignity?

Didn’t you feel sorry that through your humor over the years you may have influenced some pseudo-actors to gain the courage to belittle and offend an entire community — a hardworking and honorable municipality where every achievement is the result of honest sweat and effort?

As an actor in popular films, I feel a moral obligation to react to this injustice.

An apology would be the minimum responsibility you should take. Otherwise, the burden of a stance that divides and belittles remains on you.

Reflect.
