The Mayor of Skenderaj, Sami Lushtaku, has commemorated the martyrs of the Osmani and Saliku families, as well as all the martyrs who fell in the village of Baks 27 years ago.
In a post on Facebook, he said that the martyrs of this village sacrificed their lives for our freedom and dignity.
“Their names and deeds will remain forever alive in our history and our collective memory.”
“Eternal glory to the martyrs of the village of Baks and to all the martyrs who fell for the freedom of Kosovo,” Lushtaku wrote.
On the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the heroic fall of the martyrs of the village of Baks in the municipality of Skenderaj — Xhevat Osmani, Sejdi Osmani, and Hysen Zeqiri — tributes and a commemorative ceremony were organized today near the martyrs’ statues in Baks and Marinë.
