Pedestrian dies after being hit by a car in Skenderaj

A fatal accident occurred on Tuesday on “Azem Bejta” street in Skenderaj.

According to the police spokesperson for the Mitrovica region, Avni Zahiti, the accident involved a car and a pedestrian. The latter, approximately 74 years old, lost his life as a result of the injuries sustained in the accident.

The driver of the vehicle has been escorted to the police station.

“Relevant police units, including traffic accident investigators, have arrived at the scene and are conducting investigations to clarify the causes and circumstances of the accident,” Zahiti stated.
