Arian Tahiri Visits Thaçi and Veseli in The Hague: A Heavy and Emotional Moment

Date:

Arian Tahiri, a member of parliament from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), has visited former President Hashim Thaçi and former Speaker of the Assembly Kadri Veseli in The Hague.
Through a post on Facebook, Tahiri said that entering the detention facilities in The Hague was a heavy and emotional moment.

“Every step toward that meeting reminds you of the sacrifice and history these men carry. I had the honor of meeting President Hashim Thaçi and Speaker Kadri Veseli, two figures who stood at the forefront of our journey for freedom during the most difficult moments. Seeing them today behind prison walls, far from their families and the country for which they sacrificed everything, touches you deeply,” he wrote.
However, according to Tahiri, even under these circumstances, the attitude, dignity, and belief of the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army in the truth remain unbreakable.

“The history of Kosovo is closely tied to their sacrifice and that of many others. With special respect, I also remember Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, who are also facing this injustice far from their families and homeland. Kosovo does not forget. The truth and justice will come to light,” Tahiri wrote.
